Broward's Ex-Superintendent Begins Exit Plan Negotiations

Former Broward Superintendent Peter Licata begins negotiating his exit today and could leave with a nearly 200-thousand-dollar payout, even though he was only on the job nine months. Nova Southeastern University's Bob Jarvis calls the school board's handling of his surprise announcement a major snafu. Licata is meeting virtually with Board Chair Lori Alhadeff and whatever is agreed on will come back to the full board for approval. Superintendent Howard Hepburn is expected to make 340-thousand-dollars a year, which is 10 thousand less than Licata.
