Tiffany Haddish Says She Contracted COVID-19: 'I've Been Tested 12 Times'

Tiffany Haddish was tested a dozen times before learning she’d contracted COVID-19 (coronavirus).

The comedian shared her experience in a recent video interview with the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci. Haddish said she was working on a film when her co-star had come down with the disease, prompting production to be put on hold.

“I was working on a movie and someone in the movie contracted coronavirus,” the Girls Trip actress told Fauci. “I was not in direct contact with them, but they sent all of us home, we stopped the movie. They suggested I go get tested. I got tested, got the results back two days later, they said I didn’t have the coronavirus.”

Despite “not feeling any symptoms,” Haddish said she tested a second time and her results were negative. After quarantining at home with her dogs in the interim, the 40-year-old said she got tested again with similar negative results, but tested another time for antibodies and those results came back positive.

She added, “That was three months ago, I’ve been tested 12 times now because I’ve been working and everything."

"Then I get tested again, no virus, and then I had them test me for antibodies again, and then they said I don't have any antibodies," the comic said, quipping, "So I think I'm superhuman."

As Fauci advises, wearing a face mask, practicing social distancing, and boosting your immune system with a “healthy” lifestyle are the best ways to prevent contracting COVID-19.

Haddish joins a growing list of celebs to have tested positive for the novel virus amid the ongoing pandemic. Recent stars to contract COVID-19 include Robert PattinsonJ Balvin, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnsonwhose family also fell ill with the disease.
