NRA Lobbyist Warns Against Proposed Assault Weapons Ban

A National Rifle Association lobbyist is speaking out against Florida's proposed assault weapons ban.

Former NRA president Marion Hammer warns in a memo to NRA members that the proposal would ban virtually all semi-automatic weapons in the state.

She also says more than 150 gun manufacturers may be forced to move out of Florida if they produce weapons included in the ban.

Hammer delivered the same message to a panel of state economists in Tallahassee on Friday.
