Single-use plastic straws and stirrers are no longer available for sale or use in the town of Palm Beach.
Thursday is the enforcement date of the ordinance adopted by the town in July.
It prohibits the sale, distribution and use of the items.
The town gave restaurants and other businesses several months to use up their supplies of single-use straws and stirrers made of plastic.
