Judge Will Hear State's Motion To Dismiss School Reopening Lawsuit Tomorrow

A status hearing on the Florida Education Association's lawsuit against Governor DeSantis' emergency order requiring schools to repopen ends with the judge setting a motion to the dismiss the case for tomorrow. Attorney Ron Meyer says the order violates the constitution, guaranteeing the right to a safe and secure education. The State argues all school districts need to offer in-person instruction to parents who want to send their kids back. The FEA is asking the judge to expedite the case since some Florida districts have already started and others, like Broward, start next week.
