Broward School Board Holding Special Workshop On School Reopening Plan

The big Broward Schools reopening workshop being held today, focusing on a two-pronged Phase 2 plan. Superintendent Robert Runcie is recommending elementary students return to their classrooms October 5th and middle and high schoolers October 12th. He says Phase 2 is basically e-learning but in the classroom. Teachers will be required to be in their classrooms simultaneously teaching students who choose to stay home and to those attending in person. The district is asking parents to take a survey today through Friday to find out how many are planning on returning since the goal is to have 14 total in a classroom.
