AAA says nearly 2.2 million Floridians are planning to travel over the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. That's an 8.3% increase over last year, and nearly as many as 2017.
Despite record high gas prices, the vast majority are expected to travel by car, with nearly 2-million expected to hit the road for the unofficial start of the summer season.
